Programmable Maintenance Services (PMS) an Australian company specialising in staffing, maintenance and recruitment services has released a projection for this coming year called “Programmed Maintenance Trends for the Next 12 Months”. According to Programmable, it has identified three areas where it believes it has to focus on and is offering a number of solutions in those areas.
According to the company, it expects revenues from its fleet management business to remain flat over the next twelve months but has forecasted a small increase in long-term income growth. Programmable has therefore concluded that in the current environment where the demand for skilled manpower has continued to decline and the need for people who can deliver software updates and provide online maintenance is increasing, the drop in revenue associated with staff costs, as well as the rise in online maintenance demands, cannot offset the drop in revenue generated from fleet maintenance. Programmable has therefore decided to focus on the supply chain areas in which it sees a rise in demand, and focus on its staffing and online services areas. In these areas, it is expecting revenue to increase over the next twelve months as its customers, such as car manufacturers and retailers, see growth.
Programmable other areas of focus are the supply chain and in particular, the supply chain related to its fleet management business. Programmable has decided to focus on its fleet management business area primarily because it has seen growth there in the past. In the past two years, Programmable has seen it’s fleet management business generate a steady rise in sales, profit and revenue. It is also expecting this growth to continue to increase over the next twelve months as it continues to implement its strategies to increase the value of its fleet management business. The projected increase in sales and profit is expected to result from a number of factors including the expansion of its fleet management business, a greater focus on the customer base and better sales and service techniques and technology to ensure the smooth running of the fleet management business, a new range of fleet vehicles being introduced and improved customer service and a more streamlined and cost-effective fleet management process.
Programmable is therefore offering two solutions to its business in this area – a software solution and a programme that will be delivered to its fleet of fleet managers via their mobile websites. The programme is designed to simplify fleet management operations and to allow it to improve on its bottom line. and streamline operations and reduce costs while maintaining value. The software solution will enable fleet managers to automate the process of managing fleet vehicles and provide them with real-time online updates on engine performance, fuel consumption and breakdown.
Programmable will also offer the fleet managers with a programme to track the progress of their vehicle maintenance, vehicle inventory, repair history and vehicle servicing history. The programme will enable fleet managers to keep track of fleet vehicle downtime and track repairs made on a scheduled basis. The programme will allow fleet managers to manage a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, such as the scheduling of vehicle inspections, vehicle repairs, vehicle servicing and vehicle maintenance, vehicle servicing and vehicle equipment maintenance and vehicle availability. As a result, the programme will also have the ability to manage the logistics of fleet vehicles at a single place so that the fleet manager does not need to make multiple trips to different locations to log all the maintenance records.
The programme will also give fleet managers with a dashboard so that they can track fleet statistics and monitor the performance of all their vehicles. The programme will provide an opportunity to create reports and track trends and statistics such as the most common vehicles used by fleet drivers, best times for driver logouts, vehicle availability, time drivers log on and the most used vehicle types and so on. The program will also give fleet managers with a variety of mobile tools to access these resources, such as dashboards, calculators and tools to track vehicle breakdown.
