Wedding Videography: What Do Couples Think About It?
Yes, we all often talk about it. What’s your opinion on Wedding Videography? Do you need it, no, or may be? Well, new technology and modern videographers have changed Wedding Videography to a greater extent. It’s a positive change though. And happily, we can say – more and more couples look for it today. Yes, it’s a good sign. Couples know the value of it today. Anyway, still, some couples are not up to it. In other words, they believe in Wedding Photography than in Wedding Videography. It has become a debate now. Some say you need it, but some say they will never watch it.
In this article, I am going to explain what couples think about Wedding Videography. And at the end of the article, I will give you my opinion.
* “Wedding Videography is more powerful than Wedding photography.”: Some couples think about it this way. A videographer can capture what a photographer can’t. Of course, what they say is true. A videographer can capture emotions and sounds at the same time. You can hear everything that happened on your big day if you have a video footage of it. “It was easily the best money we spent,” Some couples talk about it happily.
Well, it’s not the fault of the photographer. He can’t capture sounds. Which means no matter how talented a photographer is; he can’t capture sounds. And it’s a restriction of photography.
* “It’s worth every penny.”: Some couples say it about Wedding Videography. Some couples get addicted to watching their big day footage. Why not? Watching the wedding footage will strengthen relationships. I have seen couples who often watch it even after 10 years from their wedding day. It’s like a brain storming session. When you see the big day, the joy, happiness, speeches, vows, and dances, love will grow more.
OK, how about the couples who are really not into it? As I mentioned above, some couples believe more in Wedding Photography. Wedding Videography is an additional cost – that’s what they say.
* “We’ll never watch it.”: Couples who think wedding videos are boring, say it. Perhaps, their parents said it that way because wedding videos were boring in the 70s and 80s, also in 90s. My answer to them I will give later.
* “I am more into photography.”: Well, if someone is more into photography, then he/she will only book a photographer for the big day. All I can say to them is, “Try Wedding Videography for once and you will love it forever.”
My opinion: Well, I am a fan of both. Wedding Photography is great and Wedding Videography too. Each has unique advantages. So, on a scale from one to five, I give both fives. Videography is like time traveling. A video can take you back to the day, and relive it. Yes, photos are great to hang on walls and to bring back memories too.
I can’t give an answer to who should you hire if you don’t have money to hire the both. Talk to your heart(s) then. Anyway, many will go with photography for sure. It depends on the personal preference. Both are important, and that’s what I can say at last.
